Legislative Reforms for Disability Inclusive Elections in Baluchistan
Human Rights are based on the fundamental principle that every individual regardless of their Nationality, Gender, Religion, on any other status is entitled to certain inherent rights and freedoms. These rights are considered universal inalienable, and indivisible. These principles collectively establish the foundation for the concept of Human Rights, forming a framework that guides the development of national and international laws, polices, and practices to protect and promote the rights and dignity of all individual like freedom for all. “Along with time, it is also essential that responsibilities come with rights. “Pakistan is a Democratic state in this state we have to elect the Leadership a democratic state and its constitution are intertwined, with the constitution serving as the foundational document that establishes the principles, values, and rules that guide the democratic governance of the state. According to the constitution person with disability have the Right to also vote caste the Leadership, an electoral process means an election which provides equal opportunities to women, men, trans-gender, youth persons with disabilities and minorities to participate and vote freely. We need to think that transparency in election is more important as well as importance of PWD’S like diversity of colors, ideas, thoughts, opinions, and much more in the political landscape inclusivity in elections ensures a wider range of solutions to social challenges, leading to more comprehensive and effective policies
Addressing these biases is crucial for promoting fair and accurate representation in political issues understanding media influence on public perception is vital in recognizing the person with disabilities to promote their political right as well as their fundamental right. According to my research the government shall ensure that every person with Disability shall have a right to be respected for his /her individual dignity and leading a decent life with equal opportunity to participate in education, social, economic, culture, religious and all other activities in the society without any discrimination. According to the Article 29 the person with disabilities have the right to participate in political and public life .Ensure that persons with disabilities can effectively and public life on equal basis with others directly or through free chosen representatives,including the right and opportunity for person with disabilities to caste vote and be elected in the political procedure.PWD’S shall have equal right to live independently in the community ,such persons shall be provided all necessary facilities by the Government with out discrimination to enable them to live independently.The main streamline to guidelines and standards for accessible information infrastructure,public spaces ,transportation and information and communication technologies provided by the Government.According to the survey The Executive Director of breaking Barrier Women Miss Sadaf Ajmal was defining The Disability act of Baluchistan 2017that fully ensure the PWD’S have the all rights to excersize or enjoys their political rights in the country as well as the other fundamental rights but in Baluchistan there is no rules of business applied by different Government Departments and Public institutions that they have completely rights and obligations towards the PWD’S.The legislation was lack in this case the Government have to focus on that to ensure the public awareness sessions ,and Government should ensure also every public building and infrastructure all will accessible for PWD’S and look after the building codes Government strictly pay attention and proper measurement of awareness raising,making practical pathways also have arrange media campaigns on this serious matter. Legislation Reforms ensure that all polling stations in Baluchistan are physically accessible for individuals with different types of disabilities. One thing the government officials use of assistive technologies, such as electronic voting machines with accessibility features, to facilitate independent voting for people with disabilities in their own shade ,but ECP ensures the good thing that introduced the postal ballets for disabilities to caste votes in their homes miss Sadaf Ajmal said that ECP should work for the polling stations and Ramps that fully secured for them .Specify that election authorities are responsible for organizing training programs for polling officers.Outline the content of the training, emphasizing understanding different types of disabilities, communication techniques, and assistance methods.Emphasize the importance of effective communication with voters who have hearing or visual impairments.Encourage the use of accessible communication tools, such as sign language interpreters or written materials in accessible formats.By incorporating these elements into legislation, governments can take proactive measures to ensure that polling officers are well-prepared to assist voters with disabilities, thereby fostering a more inclusive and accessible democratic process.It’s essential to recognize and appreciate the strengths and positive aspects of individuals with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive and supportive society that values diversity in all its forms.
